Facebook is at it again.

It seems set on making it as difficult as possible for business owners to advertise on their platform.

The latest update in the world of Facebook is that any ads promoting financial services and/or insurance products now must categorized in the special ads category.

This means far fewer targeting options, including age and income demographics.

This is Facebook's attempt to reduce "discrimination", even though every business MUST discriminate on some level.

Not because they don't like a specific group of people.

But because they have an ideal customer or client that is best for their specific products and services.

Is a person who's 25 years old going to be interested or need an annuity or final expense insurance?

Well, according to Facebook, it doesn't matter. You must advertise in front of them as well now.

But I digress.

This isn't the end of the world, as I've successfully run Facebook ads in multiple special ads category industries.

But it is very frustrating because it's very stupid.
