Prime Minister Narendra Modi, replying in the Lok Sabha to The Motion of Thanks to the President's Address, made a strong rebuttal to the charges made by the Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi. Modi said that the Congress despite suffering a third successive defeat in the general elections was trying to portray its loss as a 'moral victory'. Modi alleged that an ecosystem, propped up by the Congress, was trying to undermine India's progress. Responding to Rahul Gandhi's remarks on Hinduism, Narendra Modi said that the "conspiracy to falsely accuse Hindus" is a serious matter. The Prime Minister spoke on the NEET exam controversy saying the government was serious in stopping paper leaks. Having spoken for two hours amid ruckus by the Opposition, Modi said neither his government nor he will ever get bogged down by such tactics.
