One last jam with Hector and the Deluge in the sun before we have to head home to rainy Ireland. I’ve been really enjoying experimenting with the Hector this week and the Deluge is a perfect pairing to it in my small travel case. The Hector will no doubt evolve a lot over time as new features are added.

The Deluge is sequencing three macro oscillators on Hector (i.e. Mutable Plaits ports) over MIDI. Each oscillator makes a different sound, which then goes through the looping delay module in Hector and back out to the line input of the Deluge. This means the Deluge can mix in its own synth and Drum sounds to the final mix.

The MIDI clock from the Deluge is converted to an LFO in Hector so the looping delay stays in sync with notes. I bring in and out drums and some other synth samples on the Deluge.

Recorded in one take direct from the Deluge into my iPhone through the Roland Go:Mixer. All powered using my Poweradd DC/USB power bank to send power directly into the modular case. Enjoy!
