Tennis with Matt Lin: USTA NTRP 4.5 vs 5.0 Highlights HD

First video in ~6 months! Sorry the long drop-off, I recently changed jobs and moved back to SF. You may know Matt Lin from his channel    / maximagq  . We finally got together to hit and went two sets: 4-6, 7-5. Matt hadn't played in about 3 weeks and was probably a bit rusty—I think he would've beaten me soundly had he been in practice. I also did a full stat count of this match, you can see it broken down by set and match at 6:20 and 13:17. I rarely do this because it's so time-consuming (I watch and count every point) and it makes the editing process 2-3x longer. The main takeaway is that even at the 4.5/5.0 level, most points will still end in errors. Consistency is key!

I'm experimenting with some new gear. Twice in the last 6 months, my tripod and camera have gotten knocked over by stray balls on the court. It broke my camera twice, had to send it in for repair which wasn't fun or cheap. The first set, my camera's recording from a pole mount. Out of danger of stray balls, but it's hard to get the view exactly straight. I could have straightened in Final Cut Pro, but wasn't satisfied with the video quality sacrifice. Second set is filmed at a slightly lower height than usual, with my tripod on the court. Let me know your thoughts on the different views, and if you have any suggestions on maintaining good point of view but keeping my camera out of danger lol.
