DESIGN DETAILS
In a distribution network timely varying load demand makes the operation and control more complex mostly in the high load density zones. The power loss of a distribution network will not be minimum with varying load demand for a fixed configuration of the network. Hence, timely reconfiguration of the network is required. Network reconfiguration is the process of varying the topological structure of feeders by altering the open/closed status of sectionalising and tie switches. In general, reconfiguration of the network is preferred to relive the overloaded feeders and to minimize real power loss in the distribution system. This Matlab design based on Genetic Algorithm for solving network reconfiguration and DG/Capacitor allocation by using Backward-Forward Sweep load flow analysis to minimise power loss and voltage deviation. The design tested in IEEE 119 Bus System using Matlab 2020a version to verify the performance by applying 3 load condition with 6 cases as below.
1.Base case
2.Only Reconfiguration
3.Only DG Allocation
4.DG allocation after Reconfiguration
5.Reconfiguration after DG Allocation
6.Simultaneous Reconfiguration and DG Allocation

Load Conditions,
•Light Load Type Value=0.5
•Normal Load Type Value=1
•Heavy Load Type Value=1.6
