Описание к видео Police Pursuit ends in Tragedy| Driver lost Control and hit trees over 100 MPH.

On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at approximately 9:07 pm, I heard Miller County Dispatch advise that the Texarkana,
Arkansas Police Department was in pursuit on Interstate 30 eastbound around the 5 MM (Mile Marker). I was sitting at the 15
MM turnaround facing eastbound. I notified Sgt. Ryne Shelton of what was going on and asked Troop G dispatch to get more
information. I then moved to the right shoulder of I-30 eastbound at the 15 MM. Troop G dispatch then advised that TAPD was
requesting our assistance with the pursuit and that the pursuit was still eastbound on I-30 at speeds over 100 mph.
As I was sitting on the shoulder, I observed a vehicle with flashers on come up behind me and almost hit me from behind. I then
initiated my emergency equipment. I notified Troop G dispatch that I was almost hit and that I was in pursuit and my speeds
were over 100 mph. I then notified Troop G dispatch that the vehicle didn't have any tail lights. As I was still trying to catch up to
the vehicle my speed reached 133 mph and the vehicle was going back and forth between the eastbound lanes. Once I caught
up to the vehicle the speeds stayed around 120 mph and the vehicle was traveling back and forth between the lanes and in the
middle of the interstate. As we were approaching the 20 MM the vehicle was in the left lane and started easing over toward the
right lane when the vehicle made a hard right turn and lost control. The vehicle then exited the interstate and onto the shoulder.
The vehicle then collided with trees. I initially passed the vehicle after the collision. I turned around and went back to the
vehicle.
As I approached the vehicle, I gave the driver multiple commands to show me his hands. As I got to the vehicle, I observed the
vehicle was severely damaged and that the driver had significant injuries. The driver's upper part of his body was in the
passenger seat and appeared to have succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the crash. I then observed a fire coming from
under the vehicle. I asked the TAPD officer on the scene to stay with the vehicle while I went to get my fire extinguisher. I
retrieved my fire extinguisher from my car and returned to the crashed vehicle. I attempted to use my fire extinguisher and it
didn't work. I asked the TAPD officer if he had one and he stated he did. While he was on his way to get his fire extinguisher
another TAPD officer arrived and I asked him for his. I retrieved his fire extinguisher and used it to put the fire out.
Sgt. Shelton arrived on the scene, and we were then able to collect pictures and vehicle information. The license plate on the
vehicle was TX RXV3409. Sgt. Shelton then worked the crash. The vehicle was towed by Bypass Wrecker Service and the
driver was later identified as Steve M. Martin JR.
