This takes a look at Steve Austin's time in ECW. After getting fired from WCW, "Stunning" Steve Austin made his way to Philadelphia after getting an invite from Paul Heyman. Heyman told Austin to be himself and talk about his frustrations with World Championship Wrestling, and Steve didn't hold back. Many people say the "Stone Cold" character began in ECW, the blueprint for what Austin would become was shown to the world when Steve arrived in ECW, and his promos on ECW television have been given a ton of praise.
