Tarikh 12 Disember 2025 menandakan siapnya projek elektrifikasi landasan kereta api berkembar antara Kuala Lumpur dan Johor Bahru, ibu negeri Johor.
Dengan jarak sejauh 360 km, Johor Bahru menjadi bandaraya terakhir dalam laluan utama KTM yang dihubungkan dengan ETS.
Dengan jarak 27 km antara Johor Bahru dan Daerah Perniagaan Pusat (CBD) Singapura, lengkapnya ETS memberi manfaat kepada perjalanan rentas sempadan antara Malaysia dan Singapura juga.
