Article 356 of the Indian Constitution talks about the provisions of the President's Rule in the state. During the President's rule, the President dissolves the state assembly and rules the state through the State Governor. In India; President's rule was introduced for the first time in 1951 in Punjab. So far, almost all the Indian states have experienced the President Rule 1 or more times.
