Stone Pelting Between Two Groups in Indore’s Mhow After Team India’s Victory in Champions Trophy.

Indore, Madhya Pradesh — A clash broke out between two groups in Mhow, Indore district, last night following Team India’s victory in the Champions Trophy. According to reports, around 10:45 PM, while Taraweeh prayers were ongoing at the Jama Masjid, a victory procession reached near the mosque and fireworks were set off.

Local residents objected to the fireworks, leading to a heated argument that soon escalated into stone pelting. Several vehicles were reportedly set on fire during the violence. Apart from the Jama Masjid area, violent incidents were also reported in Patti Bazaar, Market Chowk, Vegetable Market, Ghaffar Hotel, and Connaught Road.

District Collector Ashish Singh stated that the situation is now under control, and he urged the public to maintain peace and avoid spreading rumors. Indore SP Hitekha Vasal confirmed that the violence erupted due to fireworks and has now been brought under control.
