The FTSE 100 saw red on Monday morning as ongoing instability in the Middle East continues to fuel nerves in the City.

Among companies hit this morning was housebuilder Vistry, after it warned that net debt would be higher than expected on the back of a continued downturn in sales over the summer.

AstraZeneca offered more positive news this morning meanwhile, announcing the approval of its Enhertu lung cancer drug among European Union countries.

One big riser was specialist contractor Keller Group, which reported that full-year profit would be materially ahead of expectations following strong third-quarter trading in the US.

Addiction treatment Indivior also saw shares jump early on, following news that it had agreed to pay US$385 million to settle the Suboxone anti-trust case.

Elsewhere, Foxconn shares took a hit on Monday following reports that the iPhone maker was under investigation by Chinese authorities over the likes of its taxes.

And finally, in small caps, Europa Metal shares jumped after the firm confirmed that a formal licence application for the Toral mining project in Spain had been submitted.
