Enjoy the view from Mt Blåfjellet on Husevågøy, looking down towards the charming village of Husevåg and out over the notorious Stadhavet – one of the most exposed stretches of sea along the Norwegian coast. From this vantage point you see scattered islands, strong tidal currents and the open Atlantic meeting the rugged coastline.

This video captures the atmosphere on a day when the light, sea and sky are constantly changing – a classic mix of peaceful village life and raw coastal nature that characterises Husevågøy.

At the outer end of Nordfjord, where the narrow fjord opens out towards the notorious Stad sea, lies Husevågøy – a small island with a grand landscape. Here, tranquil evenings with mirror-calm waters meet some of the most dramatic winter storms on the Norwegian coast.
