Elijah leaves Mystic Falls and Elena behind. But what he didn't know is that he left his child in Elena when he departed. A few years later Elijah is back and goes in search for the women he left, only to find her with and child and Stefan. Surprised by his sudden appearance Elena lets him believe the child is Stefan and hers. Stefan being her closest friend agrees to help her, but he pushes for her to come clean when she is ready. But shes nervous that he (Elijah) will leave not only her but their daughter as well if given the chance. Elijah over hears Elena and Caroline discussing the topic at the Grill and after studying the little girl he can't help but see the resemblance. He confronts Elena and she agrees and she apologizes for lying and tells him she tried to get a hold of him when she came to learn of her pregnancy. Matt becomes enraged that his friend is opening herself to vulnerable to Elijah once again when she agrees to let him meet their daughter. A few years later you see Elijah react with his teenage daughter and him trying to continue working on this with Elena. The End!
