Two ballads from Marty; the first is a Floyd Tillman Song which dates from World War Two and was a hit in 1944 for Floyd. Marty probably had the Vietnam war in mind when he recorded his version, but it was never released in his lifetime. The second song is a most appealing self penned song by Marty which also never saw the light of day in Marty's time. Thank goodness for the Bear Family label you well might say. It's Marty's birthday on September 26 and he would have been 83 years young. He is still held in great affection around the world; people know what a great singer and songwriter he was and that there'll never be another like Martin David Robinson.
