Abela trains (formerly Watania) offers First Class overnight train services for foreigners from Cairo to Luxor and Aswan. The journey to Aswan takes 14 hours without delays and can be booked online at their website https://abelatrains.com/Home.
Having done several overnight trains in Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Russia, this was something I was comfortable with and looking forward to. While it may not be for everyone and can be a unique way to travel and explore the country.
