In a way sex during pregnancy may cause premature labour pain because if your body is already geared up for the process of delivery then an active intercourse, the semen sample will have a substance called Prostaglandin which can trigger out the labour pains, but if your body by itself is not yet ready for the delivery process nothing to do with the intercourse or Prostaglandin neither will harm the pregnancy nor trigger out the labour pains because the receptors or something that receives the Prostaglandin are not ready yet. So you must check with your doctor if you have a tendency for premature delivery within yourself then doctor will ask you to avoid sex during pregnancy otherwise it is safe and it will not trigger the premature pains.
