In this Festival of Faiths session, Black theologians and writers discuss the "ghosts" of America's racist past, as well as spirituality as a tool for liberation and inspiration for social change. The session, entitled “The Ghosts and Growing Edges of Black Faith,” features:

•Dr. Michael Brandon McCormack, professor in Pan-African Studies and Comparative Humanities at the University of Louisville; director of the Anne Braden Institute for Social Justice Research

•Alexis Pauline Gumbs, author of "Undrowned: Black Feminist Lessons from Marine Mammals"; co-founder of the Mobile Homecoming Trust

•Sunni Patterson, internationally acclaimed poet, performer, and an initiated priestess and minister

•Rev. Dr. Starsky Wilson, president and CEO of the Children’s Defense Fund; co-chair of the Ferguson Commission
