A decade ago, I had the privilege of watching a live production of Wicked. It was the first musical I experienced from the audience, securing the show a special place in my heart. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I heard a film version was in production. I rushed to theaters on opening day to be one of the first in my town to watch the new adaptation. The first part of Wicked didn’t disappoint, as it took great care to get the story right while capturing the magic of the original stage production. While I could spend all day singing the film’s praises, I have to remember that the story is far from over, and that a second part will release in 2025. While I have a clear picture of what’s next for Elphaba and Glinda, the film is at liberty to change or focus on specific details to suit its version of the story. Therefore, in today’s video, I’ll discuss my predictions for Wicked: Part 2.
