The Elite was produced in the mid 1970s as a two door personal luxury car meant to compete with the Monte Carlo and the Chrysler Cordoba. The Ford Elite was very similar to the Mercury Cougar of the time. This particular Elite has the 351 CID V8 under the hood which is backed by a C6 automatic transmission. The power is delivered to the rear wheels with a 3.00 final drive ratio. In this case the engine has been professionally rebuilt within the past 100 miles. The engine fires over effortlessly and the car drives wonderfully. The front suspension has been rebuilt as well as new brakes installed all around. Other goodies included new tires, a new vinyl top, new exhaust, and a new radio. This cruiser is ready to be driven and enjoyed. The car is finished in green with very nice paint. The vinyl top matches as well as the green cloth interior. The mileage of 69,789 is believed to be original and may explain why the car is in such great shape.
