Band-Assisted Neutral Grip Pull Up

This variation uses a resistance band to reduce some of your body weight, helping you build strength and confidence in your pull-up technique.

How to set up:
Wrap a resistance band securely around the pull-up bar. If you can’t reach the bar, step onto a bench or box to help you get into position. Pull the band down, bend one knee, and place it on the band while keeping your other foot on the floor or box. Grip the bar with your palms facing each other — that’s the neutral grip.

How to perform:
Lift your foot off the box (if you used one) and hang with your arms fully extended. Pull yourself up until your face reaches the bar, keeping your head and spine neutral — avoid tilting your chin up or down. Lower yourself under control back to the starting position. Engage your core and maintain a hollow body to protect your lower back.
