Aurangzeb's teacher's Masjid | Hidden Masjid in Lahore | Saleh Kamboh / مسجد صالح کمبوہ | Saad Zahid

Muhammad Saleh Kamboh Lahori was a noted calligraphist and official biographer of Emperor Shah Jahan and the teacher of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Though a widely read person, little is known of the life of Muhammad Saleh Kamboh other than the works he composed. His named masjid is located in Mochi gate, Androon Lahore. Although the mosque was built during the reign of Aurangzeb, it includes features of Shahjahani architecture. A local body, Anjuman-e-Tajran, is responsible for the maintenance of the mosque.
