Visitors can park at the Fairholmes Visitor Centre or use the free roadside layby parking on Upper Derwent Valley Road if the main car park is full. We also provide walking routes around the reservoir, showcasing its natural beauty.

4. Winnats Pass
Our final destination is the stunning Winnats Pass. This hilly pass and limestone gorge, located west of Castleton, is known for its dramatic high limestone ridges and captivating swirling winds. Steeped in history and home to unique flora, Winnats Pass offers a blend of natural beauty, rich history, and thrilling exploration opportunities.
