The poem ‘Making a Difference’ is an originally-commissioned poem by the Office for Social Responsibility at The University of Manchester.

The University of Manchester is unique in British higher education in having social responsibility as one of its core goals. The University’s former Chancellor (2015-2022) and acclaimed poet, Lemn Sissay MBE, wrote Making a Difference in response to his involvement in and support of the University’s social responsibility initiatives.
