How to knit a twisted headband or ear warmer — simple hand knit

The twisted headband has been popular in the past few years. It also acts as an ear warmer. The twisting part looks complicated but actually very easy to do. It is just a way of folding before sewing up.

Basically, it is made of a long rectangle. I add some seed stitches on the sides so it does not curl. You can add cable stitches in the middle, or use the 1 by 1 ribbing on the sides. The possibility is endless.

This is a very quick hand-knit project. It will take less than one afternoon to finish. It is also easy to adapt to different sizes and ages.
