Cost-efficient PET line from KHS for Turkish spring water at Abant Su

Abant Su is one of the leading mineral water bottlers in Turkey and has been very successfully marketing its high-quality spring water for many years. In 2015 the company, which is part of Kaya Holding, built a second production site not far from Istanbul in order to continue its policy of expansion. Now, at its original facilities on the shores of Lake Abant, a further production line is to be installed to process still water in PET.

Abant Su wanted an especially compact and highly efficient machine which is perfectly tailored to its specific requirements. Thanks to its many years of experience as a supplier of flexible and reliable PET filling systems, KHS was able to provide its client with a powerful yet compact stretch blow molder. Although it has fewer blowing stations, the output per cavity has been increased from the previous 2,250 bottles per hour to 2,500, enabling up to 45,000 bottles to be processed every 60 minutes. The use of lightweight bottles also means that operation is gentle on resources.

Further down the line the bottles are efficiently labeled on the Innoket Neo RF roll-fed labeler and then securely packed on the Innopack Kisters FullyEnclosed shrink packer. In addition to procuring a reliable and extremely cost-effective system, the on-site service [provided by KHS] especially was an important criterion for Abant Su.
