Silver Diamine Fluoride when used in 38% has an advantage to arrest active caries. This SDF primarily arrests the progression of caries. However before application to arrest caries an appropriate diagnosis is essential as there should not be any pulpal involvement or history of pain.
After SDF application the tooth must be appropriately restored with suitable restoration or crown.
SDF has high staining therefore it should be handled carefully and procedure must be performed under skilled professional.
