In the late 90's, Microsoft Office 2000 came out sometime in early 1999 as the latest version of Microsoft Office for computers running Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 98, and the upcoming Windows 2000 at the time, while Windows 2000 was in the Beta 3 stage of it's development.
