Bali sidewalks are for motorcycles not for pedestrians

The traffic situation in parts of Bali is no better than in many big cities in Indonesia. You might not know that because you aren’t in Bali traffic or you might not have been elsewhere in Indonesia. You can take it from me though that Bali has a lot to offer as a pedestrian, as long as you like getting out of the way for motorized traffic on sidewalks, almost getting run over on zebra crossings and the general feeling that traffic is pretty unsafe and full with people that don’t give a damn about you as a pedestrian, whether you’re a local or a tourist.
