Turning the idea of a big ship INTO a big ship is the job of the Kvaerner Masa Shipyard (now Meyer Turku). We'll take you into the shipyard to see how a 600-ton block is eased into place by a giant crane and show you diesel engines that are bigger than a bus. We'll show how an onboard fire during construction damages major areas and pushes everyone to their limit to meet the deadline, and you'll see an amazing sequence of time lapse photography that shows the building progress over the course of many months.
