Footage onboard lead R68A car 5018 operating on the (Q) from Astoria - Ditmars Boulevard to Coney Island. Due to trackwork, the was no (7) train service between Queensboro Plaza and 34th Street - Hudson Yards. Unlike previous GOs of similar nature, (W) trains were not running extra service. In its place, the mainline (Q) service was rerouted north of 57th Street to operate to/from Astoria - Ditmars Boulevard, via 60th Street and Astoria Line. The 2nd Avenue Line was covered by a shuttle train between Lexington Avenue - 63rd Street and 96th Street - 2nd Avenue.

This service pattern very closely resembles that of the weekday (Q) train between 2010 and 2016. During these times, (Q) trains were extended to/from Astoria, stopping at 49th Street. Overnight and weekend service would operate only to 57th Street - 7th Avenue, and would skip 49th Street. This was a result of the 2010 service reductions, which eliminated (W) train service. The pattern ended in 2016 when the (W) train was brought back in anticipation for full-time (Q) service to/from the 2nd Avenue line starting in 2017.
