In this video, Mallory Ellingson from the Yale School of Public Health presents the findings of a systematic review to evaluate the effectiveness of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine by age at vaccination. The research team examined more than 1,000 studies published between 2007 and 2022 to identify those eligible for inclusion. Studies were considered suitable if they analyzed the HPV vaccine's effectiveness in relation to the age at which the vaccine series was initiated or completed. The team selected and descriptively summarized 21 observational studies in their research. Vaccine effectiveness was evaluated for two age groups: 9-14 and 15-18.
