This is a typical Lord British Postulate situation, to the point even TV Tropes lists it.

Lekain can be found early in Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn with only a Rewarp staff, and he disappears from the battlefield after a while. He is not meant to be the boss in this map, but if a particularly skilled player reaches, him, Lekain is unamused and just makes an early exit with some alternate dialog while his character is lying to the side.

Yes, I know Naesala is probably dead next turn because of the snipers, but I just stopped playing this map after recording the video lol
