Dolphin pose can be the best bang for your bucks exercise towards learning to forearm stand - if done properly. If you have aspirations towards developing your inversions practice - yet you are not comfortable with dolphin - I suggest you watch this video and take note of all the cues!

The cues in this video are not meant to make you find ease in the pose. I expect that if you do everything by the book you may find dolphin being harder than you thought. I promise you that's only going to last for 3.5 years and then you will never have to practice it again.

I ask my students to practice dolphin (in the way described) until they are able to hold for 3 sets of 3 mins.
