In the universe of the evil within a man known as Ruvik would construct a system/device that could transport the user to another world like a complete virtual reality. However at some point the organisation known as Mobius would begin to push Ruvik into building the system for them or be removed from the project. Where he couldn't allow that as his motivation for creating STEM was that he could project Laura into his new world allowing him to be comforted by his memory, somewhere down the line Ruvik would take complete control of the STEM system making sure he was the only one who could take control. Through Ruvik's collection of trauma and pain that he had carried throughout his life it would turn the reality into a world of monsters and nightmares.

In this video we peel back the layers to show you the ins and outs of the STEM program with the background lore and origins explaining how they work to the best of my ability.
