Dedicated Pictures - MegaPark 2011 (FriFlyt film contest version)

Our submission to FriFlyts MegaPark 2011 video-edit contest is a bit on the experimental side.

Inspired by the beautiful, majestic mountains that surround Oppdal (Norway), the village that each year hosts the MegaPark, I contacted four talented musicians (Eirik Aarnes Vik, Erlend Tro Klette, Nicolai Skogheim, Stian Føyen) from my school, and asked them if they were interested in composing and recording a funky version of Edward Griegs famouse piece "Dovregubbens Hall" ("The Hall of the Mountain King").

Luckily they said yes!

Skiing is Norways national sport and a part of our cultural heritage, and the same goes with Griegs masterpiece and the play he composed it for ("Peer Gynt" by Henrik Ibsen) as well. The newschool movement has given skiing a fresh new style. Now it's got the perfect soundtrack.
