Vanishment's new album, *And Now We Die*, released today, January 23, 2026, via M-Theory Audio, is the Seattle (USA) band's second full-length album and marks their debut on the metal-focused label.

It's a solid heavy/thrash metal work with strong classic influences from the 70s and 80s, mixing the aggression of thrash with elements of traditional power metal: galloping riffs, duet guitar harmonies, striking melodic passages, and a dynamic that alternates between fast, heavy moments and slower, groovy breakdowns.

The lineup brings together veterans from bands like Himsa, Lair of the Minotaur, Hell Promise, Trial, and Earthen Grave, resulting in palpable experience in the execution—everything sounds precise, technical, and with an old-school attitude, but without sounding forcedly retro. The album was recorded with Nicholas Wilbur (Sumac, etc.), mixed by drummer Chris Wozniak, and mastered by Alan Douches (Baroness, Darkest Hour), ensuring a clean and powerful production that highlights the guitars and thunderous drums.

Previous singles like "Engraved Under Skin" and "Scarred In Fate" already showcased the band's DNA: killer riffs, energetic vocals, and catchy choruses. Initial reviews highlight the consistency, with memorable songs, solid mechanics, and a balance between heaviness and melody that may appeal to fans of bands like Warbringer, Flotsam & Jetsam, or even hints of classic Megadeth and Iron Maiden in more harmonized moments.

It's a straightforward album, without modern frills, made for headbangers who enjoy thrash with a traditional soul, and it delivers exactly what it promises: heavy riffs, speed, and a sense of urgency.
