Mahler Symphony 1 - 4th mov. - Coda (Bernstein, Maazel, Abbado)

The most powerful moment of the Mahler symphonies performed by three great conductors.

My opinion on these performances is:

00:00 Bernstein: Good. This is a 1974 interesting recording but Bernstein in 1987 made another recording of the 1st symphony for DG with the Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam, that I consider the best performance of this symphony, especially in the 1st and 4th movement.

03:25 Maazel: Very Good. In 2012, two years before his death, Maazel has conducted this concert showing great energy, with exceptional sound quality.

07:20 Abbado: Excellent. Abbado is a great mahlerian conductor, this is a live 1989 recording that Deutsche Grammophon released on CD. I own this disc and I think that DG engineers did a good but not perfect job in bringing the intensity of this execution.
