I've been wanting to try something a little different from the usual day-to-day videos for a while now and Elden Ring has been my favourite game of the last couple of years. I wanted to fuse together 2 games I love and had seen some videos of character models being imported into Elden Ring for some fun videos, mostly of using them in combat. But, me being me, I wanted to take things a step further and actually try to tell a story using this method. Auron's story and his relationship with life and death, travelling between realms as an unsent, puts him in an interesting position where just for curiosity's sake, I could try to send him to the Lands Between of Elden Ring. After leaving Spira, what if fate had one last adventure in store for him?

I tried to create something fun that will hopefully showcase the world and general story of Elden Ring to those who have never seen it (many followers of this channel are more FF/JRPG-centric and may have no interest in ever playing ER), while providing an entertaining "what if" story for fans of both games. I tried my best to tell a cohesive story and make it make sense, using some dialogue from FFX where appropriate to give it a little more dynamism, while having him journey through the world of ER to eventually become the Elden Lord.

Some liberties have been taken with the story and of course it's mostly a solo fun fan-made video that won't have incredible production value and isn't to be taken too seriously, but I hope that it captures the imagination and proves to be a nice viewing experience. It was super fun to work on and try a different style of recording, editing and storytelling. It's nice to do these one-off projects from time to time just to add something more creative to the ever-growing Dansg08 archive of videos :)

(For anyone wondering how I got Auron into the game, I commissioned a modder who specialises in putting character models into these games to put the HD remaster version of Auron in there. Some aspects are not perfect but both me and the modder didn't have the technical knowhow to fix it so I did my best with what I had!)
