I bought some Philips InstantFit T8 four foot long tube LED light bulbs to replace the old dim fluorescent T8 bulbs in my garage. It's hard to tell from the video, but they are brighter and the daylight color temperature is much better for getting work done. I did not bypass the electronic ballast in the light fixtures. If you have an old magnetic ballast, these will not work for your light fixtures.

They only use 16W (16 watts) compared to the old 32W fluorescent bulbs.
