One Tree Planted strives to collect quality monitoring data for all of our tree planting projects. From rural farming communities in Africa and remote sections of the Amazon to burn scars in California, our planting partners around the globe have varying degrees of access to technology which affects their ability to scale up and provide quality monitoring data. We can bridge this gap by providing key partners with reliable technology, as well as the necessary training and support to collect and analyze data.

In 2023, we aim to improve our impact monitoring and reporting to become more transparent and accountable, and to address the current need for growth within our own organization and across the reforestation and environmental field.

Drone Monitoring for Reforestation provides insight into our growing monitoring program, shared by our Director of Impact Assessment and Monitoring, Breece Robertson. With the goal of planting 70 million trees worldwide in 2023, we are working to more effectively convey the transparency of our projects, build the technical capacity of our partners, ensure accountability through reporting, and support learning exchange.

Our program will simplify the process for us and our partners to analyze and report impacts in one easy to use portal. It will build the capacity of partners by providing drone technology and training so they can capture state of the art monitoring data.
