How To Use Launch Control - M Steptronic Transmission with Drivelogic

In the video, BMW will show you full guidance on how to operate the M Steptronic Transmission with Drivelogic on BMW M Series.

To use the transmission, make sure the engine is running and at an operating temperature. The steering angle must not exceed 30°. Deactivate the Dynamic Stability Control DSC by holding the DSC button for around 4 seconds, then select sequential mode and the third Drivelogic driving program. Press the brake firmly with your left foot. Press and hold the accelerator pedal beyond the resistance point.

On BMW M3 and M4 with rear wheel drive, select the 2nd gear for optimal acceleration. A check control message “Preparing Launch Control” is issued. When it says “Launch Control Active”, release your left foot from the brake pedal within 3 seconds to start. The vehicle accelerates. Upshifts are automatic as long as the flag symbol is displayed and the accelerator pedal is not released.
