18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker (PS2 Version) Walkthrough

Описание к видео 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker (PS2 Version) Walkthrough

A walkthrough of a Sega racing game, "18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker." This is an arcade-styled game. I actually like it because of its pace and the graphics. I played the PlayStation 2 version of this game. Since I wanted the opening cutscene to be shown in this walkthrough, the part where I wait for 30 seconds to let the title screen automatically play it is cut for viewing pleasure.

You can choose five different trucks and do four stages in the "Arcade" section, practice parking your truck in the "Practice Parking" section, and even earn money in "Score Attack." The original arcade version of this game was released in 1999, and the Sega Dreamcast version was released in 2000. The PlayStation 2 version was released by Acclaim Entertainment in 2001, and the GameCube version was released by the same company in 2002. Here are the level-by-level comments:

Arcade: This is my favorite part of this game. Your mission is to drive across the country to your destination before time runs out. I had to do this section in the "Easy" level because I will not fail to reach the finish line that way, plus I crashed into the purple vans to gain time bonuses. I also used the "Asphalt Cowboy" truck because it's my favorite. I only failed to complete the second level once. Aside from that, I think this section went well.

Practice Parking: In this section, you have to practice parking your vehicle in five different garages. I used all five trucks in this section (excluding the "Nippon Maru" truck since there are only four levels). I failed to complete the last two levels because I made a few "time penalty" mistakes while trying to rush to the next garage, but everything went fine.

Score Attack: You get to drive around a course and gain money by destroying the purple vans. I only did one level in this section.

Also, since the home versions of this game are different from the original arcade version, here are the differences:

*The voice actors are completely different. I like hearing the voices in the home versions of this game.

*The load screen that uses the cross-country map has been removed. Instead, a black load screen with the flashing text saying "Now Loading..." shows up.

*Only one crash sound effect has been removed.

*There are menu screens. This game now has three new modes: Practice Parking, Score Attack and Versus.

*You get to save your high scores on a memory card (or a VMU in the Dreamcast version).

*You're allowed to change the options of this game.

This is my first walkthrough of a PS2 game. I think this is an awesome Sega game. Enjoy!

Fun fact: I remember playing the arcade version of this game at Chuck E. Cheese's when I was a kid. It was a lot of fun.
