Today I spoke with Bill Darlison, the Minister Emeritus of Dublin Unitarian Church, and the author of such books as: "The Gospel and the Zodiac: The Secret Truth about Jesus," "The Celestial Journey of the Soul: Zodiacal Themes in the Gospel of Mark," and "Moses the Matador."


We had planned to focus on the zodiac in the Gospel of Mark, but ended up focused on other topics for much of our time, but our time served well as groundwork for future discussions.


We talked about contemplating the mysteries of life while rejecting the Christian worldview, unraveling the psychology of fundamentalist beliefs, and rediscovering the fascinating parts of the Bible after a deconversion.


We touched on who and what may have been the impetus for the original Jesus movement, especially as they wove dynamics like astrotheology--especially the zodiac and precession of the equinoxes in the gospel of Mark.


Thanks to Bill for his insights and wisdom. I can't wait to dive deeper into how the writers of the Gospel of Mark wove the zodiac through the narrative.
