1965 FORD Galaxie 500 Convertible Restored

SOLD. This 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible was lovingly restored by the owner of a local restoration shop in 2002. It has been in storage for the past 6-7 years.

The 390 4 barrel automatic, dual exhaust, runs well, and has never been messed with. Power steering, power brakes, AC, power roof. The owner likely never exceeded the speed limit. It was a show car to promote his business. This is a bone stock beauty.

Specializing in obsolete Ford parts, 65 Galaxie and 65 Mustang, the shop owner replaced anything he could with NOS items. The trim, stainless steel, bumpers, grill, headlight bezels, and more, are just beautiful.

The correct Rangoon Red paint was polished, and is like glass. The interior carpet has been replaced, as have the sill plates. Otherwise the original interior shows minor wear.

I had 2 local mechanics look it over with me, before acquiring from the family estate. All brake lines and drum brakes were replaced at restoration, and work well. The trunk is amazing and clean. Trunk lid shows no rust or open seams.
The engine compartment is clean, with correct gold breather and valve covers. The hood shows no defects, rust, or bad seams.
