Our journey started in Worcester, a town in the heart of the Boland. Our first machines were sold mainly inside the borders of the Western Cape. As demand increased the range expanded so we started selling TOMCAT wood chippers to other provinces such as Limpopo, Mpumalanga and the Eastern Cape. Today our TOMCAT equipment is sold across South Africa and we export to Namibia, Angola, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Senegal, Swaziland, Mauritius, Seychelles and even as far as Australia & South America!
Our drum-style wood chippers are available in two styles: gravity-feed and hydraulic-feed. We started with only two different models back in 2009 and today our range offers more than 15 different chipper options to choose from. Our chippers can be engine-driven, PTO driven or electric. Our drum-style wood chippers range from 100mm to 375mm capacity.
We are also the sole manufacturers of the Wikkelnick Compost Turners which were also designed and manufactured in Worcester since the early 2000s. We also manufacture Log Splitters, Stump Grinders, Pallet Waste Shredders & we are the sole importers for FAE Forestry Mulchers from Italy.
The biggest advantage of owning a TOMCAT is the fact that it is designed and manufactured in Africa. All our equipment is uniquely designed for our wood and our conditions. The fact that our equipment is manufactured in South Africa means that it is made from parts and major drive components sourced from
local suppliers with reliable dealer networks throughout Africa such as BMG, PERKINS, KIRLOSKAR &HONDA. Spare parts for our equipment are readily available from ourselves.
