We explore the Cateran Hole (an old word for a border reiver) and a reputed smugglers hide out on Bewick Moor in Northumberland before hiking to Ros Castle, an ancient hill fort with a view from the Cheviot Hills to Holy Island. It was windy as heck but the old Terra Nova Laser Competition 1 proved up to the task and stood up to a bit of a battering.
