DJ Muro has been at the forefront of the Japanese hip hop scene since the early 90s as a producer, recording artist and DJ.

He is renowned for his incredible record collection which is said to number over a 100,000 items that are housed in their own Tokyo apartment.

Over the years he has developed a reputation for his incredible mix-tapes released under the titles “Kings Of Digging” which led to him being commissioned by both Blue Note and Stones Throw to compile best selling mix CDs exclusively for the Japanese market. He then joined BBE’s team to put together a disc in their own “Kings Of Digging” series alongside New York DJs Kon & Amir. This was a runaway success.

With this track record he was our first choice to take the Fania DJ Series to the land of the rising sun and he has done us proud digging deeply into the catalogue and pulling out a selection of gems, and presented them with his usual skill and dexterity.
