El Monte is a city lies in the San Gabriel Valley, east of the city of Los Angeles. City of El Monte is bordered by city of Temple City on the north, City of Baldwin Park on the east, Area of Bassett and Avocado Height on the Southeast, City of Rosemead on the West and City of South El M onte on the South. City of El Monte most Business and restaurants are located along with Peck Road, Valley Boulevard and Garvey Avenue.
City of El Monte has a total area of 9.65 sq mi (24.99 km2). City of El Monte was incorporated on November 18, 1912.

On The Bank of The San Gabriel River, played a significant part in California’s early pioneer history. City of El Monte was first an encampment on the Old Spanish Trail, an extension of the trail from Missouri to Santa Fe. By the 1850s, some began to call El Monte the 'End of the Santa Fe Trail.' Early in that decade a permanent settlement was established by immigrants from Texas, the first settlement in Southern California founded by citizens of the United States. El Monte built the Santa Fe Trail Historical Park in 1989, at Valley Boulevard and Santa Anita Avenue. The trail remained America's greatest route for several decades thereafter.
Major Highway Interstate 10 travels through southern region of El Monte. San Gabriel Valley Airport and El Monte bus station serves the Transit center of San Gabriel Valley public transportation.
San Gabriel Valley Airport
Located in the heart of the San Gabriel Valley with access to the I-10 and 210 Freeways, San Gabriel Valley Airport facilitates over 97,000 general aviation takeoffs and landings each year. Originally constructed in 1936, today the airport, owned and operated by the County of Los Angeles since 1969, is publicly available to general aviation aircraft 24-hours a day seven days a week and is home to over 300 based aircraft, a restaurant, and numerous aviation-related businesses.
San Gabriel Valley Airport safely and efficiently accommodates a wide range of fixed-wing and rotary-wing general aviation aircraft ranging from small two-seat, single-engine propeller aircraft up to much larger and higher capacity turbo-prop and jet aircraft.
El Monte Bus station
El Monte Station is a large regional bus station operated by LA Metro in the city of El Monte, adjacent to Interstate 10, serving the Metro the Silver Line, Foothill Transit, Greyhound Lines, and El Monte Transit. It is the Metro the Silver Line eastern terminus and LA Transfer center to East San Gabriel Valley. Currently, El Monte Station has 2 island platforms with 29 buses stop here. El Monte Station provide Parking 1,287 paid "park and ride" lot spaces and 26 bike rack spaces.
