Please enjoy this video of the first track from #lunchbreak. I am combining my interest in Middle Eastern drumming inspired by my multiple trips there as a cultural envoy. Also, the inspiration is from my time in New Orleans and the groove of the Meters. I am playing the frame drum in the ancient style of Mesopotamian drumming with the finger snaps and a loose funk pattern on the drum kit while Dave performs beautiful trumpet work.
