UPDATE: my sister was doing some more investigation into the whole thing and found a post on LinkedIn from the artist who had their work stolen. It was stolen right under the nose of CCTV where someone just ripped it off the walls and walked away. The fair had no insurance and limited liability. Considering the sheer amount of money it takes to showcase there, you'd think they'd have insurance. The artist was also upset at the 'lack of any class as they didn't even offer a refund'. I feel awful for this artist and I'm infuriated that something like this has happened.

Wow that was a lot. I'm so sorry to all of the artists who over the years have been impacted by this fair. I'm also sorry to anyone who was going to come and see me at the fair as I was so excited to meet so many other artists. I ask that you might share this video with other fellow artists to be made aware of these practices. We can't do much to stop this guy but what we can do is make sure as many people know so that he doesn't make as much money from the dreams of artists in the future. On the outside this whole event looks very legit and he's clearly making enough money that this is now a bi-annual event so I'm not the only artist who has been sucked in. In my opinion this seems to be deception at a large scale impacting hundreds of people and it's wild to me that he can just get away with it. I'm sorry if I was a bit vague in the video, I had to be careful with everything that I said to make sure that I wasn't making defamatory statements.

Lesson learned.

Also something that I forgot to mention is that I don't doubt the validity of the reviews on the website. I'm sure those artists did have amazing experiences but just because the fair was a success one year it doen't make the underperformance of this year ok.
